Exceptional
What a brilliant hotel & staff.
Special mentions to Natanya & Qais.
Both went out of the way to assist us.
Nothing too much, very professional & friendly.
Always smiling. They went that extra mile to make us feel special.
A real credit to the team.
The best service I've ever experienced.
They need keeping for a long time, they make the business tick.
Would highly recommend to anyone.
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible , expired milk opened, found cigarettes butts on our bed!, no a.c small bathroom and for 81£ we paid for the best one and it was absolutely nasty, the receptionists were nice but everything else was terrible

Booked 3 rooms for myself and my…
Booked 3 rooms for myself and my bridesmaids at the Harlow Travelodge, definitely should have followed my instincts and booked the Premier Inn (was trying to keep costs down for my BMaids) … this hotel is run down, has rust over the bathrooms, dirty carpets and smells rank.
One room had a pair of used knickers on the bathroom floor, not a clean room. I asked for the room to be refunded and they’ve offered me a free breakfast instead.
The customer service department are less than helpful and keep sending me the same recycled email except now calling this breakfast a “gesture of goodwill” which suggests they’ve offered it to me as a favour … no, I paid for a room which should at least be clean and that wasn’t provided.
Don’t stay here. Not a nice hotel or company tbh. Just look at all these other poor reviews. What kind of show are they running here?
Unsafe Hotel
Unsafe Hotel!
Kingston upon Thames AVOID! Room was spotless and airy but someone entered my room at nearly midnight whilst I was asleep with their keycard, stating I was in their room. It scared the life out of me and I am still having panic attacks! I spoke to reception in the morning and they said they would speak to the manager… I have heard nothing since even after emailing on my return home. It could have been a rapist and they couldn’t have cared less! I will never stay in a Travelodge again.

Zero customer support
Still waiting for Travelodge Chester Warrington to refund me for our 5 cancelled breakfasts and two unused wifi codes because internet was not available (stay on 4th June). Called hotel 4 times and everytime I have to explain myself again on a ridiculous 10p/min phone call. On June 27th, hotel wrote an email saying refund had been made via Paypal. It's now July 19th and I have received nothing. Wrote to customer support 2 times already, no response.
Untrustworthy.
May I add batroom was unclean (hairs from previous guests) and towels had stains.
We've stayed on Travelodge a few times in the past, but this time it is a major disappointment.

If there is negative 100 stars
If there is negative 100 stars, that will be my rating for this awfully disgusting hotel. They rob you off your hard earned money. How can they get away with this? They think they are high and mighty and continue with their bad services without any consequences. May God save their souls from the fires of hell.
Had the unfortunate pleasure of staying…
Had the unfortunate pleasure of staying at the Seafront Travelodge Bournemouth. It would appear that customer service and a comfortable stay are discarded during the summer months. Our room had been in full sun all day and with no a/c or fans was unbearably hot. When we asked reception if we could move to a cooler room or at least have a fan we were told we should have checked the hotel facilities before booking and there was no chance they would move us. After an uncomfortable night with no sleep we were greeted by the news that the hotel had no hot water, again with no hint of an apology or solution. When we contacted customer services on our return home our poor stay was blamed on the weather rather than a shoddy infrastructure and poor service. I’d recommend staying anywhere else in Bournemouth rather than here if you’re visiting in the summer
ITS NOT AS CHEAP AS IT MAKES OUT
ITS NOT AS CHEAP AS IT MAKES OUT - BECAUSE ITS NOT HOTEL FRIENDLY - P)HONE ACCESS AT 13p / MINUTE LEADS YOU TO BEING CUT OFF WITHOUT CONTACT AND A PHONE BILL.
THE FACILITY TO CANCEL OR AMEND IS SO EXPENSIVE - ITS BEST AVOIDED AND MUCH BETTER TO BOOK AT PREMIER INN
THE DISABLED DON'T NEED A DOUBLE BED- TWO SINGLES ARE OK FOR DISABLED LOVERS THE "ACCESSIBLE ROOM " THE ACCESSIBLE SHOWER DOESNT EXIST - CLIMBING INTO A BATH IN A WHEELCHAIR IS DIFFICULT.ONE STAR IS GENEROUS FOR TRAVELDODGY

REALLY?!?!!?!!????!?!!!!?!???!
I stayed for one night at this Travellodge, with no issues at all.
3 weeks later, received a fine though the post, ACCUSING ME of smoking in my room!
I can happily say Ive never smoked. Also the date given by them was 2 days after I had stayed.
After various phone calls and letters, which is now costing me money. They have decided that no one entered the room after I left for 2 days, then apparently discovered ash on the floor and covered the smoke alarm?!
How can they be sure that NO ONE has been in that room in the 2 days and had a cheeky cigarette in there..?
I will not be paying the fine for something that I have not done!
WONT BE USING TRAVELODGE AGAIN EVER!
Has this happened to anyone else????
The worst hotel experience I ever experienced - Travelodge London Harrow Hotel
The worst hotel experience I ever experienced - Travelodge London Harrow Hotel
The experience I received from this hotel is absolutely disgraceful.
The air-conditioning system were not working at the entire hotel. The air conditioning units were blowing out hot air during the heat wave in July. The staff were not helpful at all, especially we informed them we had a baby staying at the hotel during the heat wave with no air conditioning, staff were dismissive, not even bothered to look at the faulty unit or to provide us with a fan. Staff just smiled and looking at me with my 1 year old son saying there is nothing we can do without even trying, or to look for alternative solutions. The hotel only provided the fan on the day we had to leave due to health and safety reasons of our 3rd out of 7 days stay.
There were few occassions, there was no staff at the reception. They left a sign stated they are cuurently away and please call 0800 640 3744. I called the number at the receiption, and I can hear the mobile phone was ringing at the vacant reception. Once the call was disconnected due to no one to answer, I tried to call again, in hoping the phone rang on the reception desk is not the number I just called. I rang it again, and the same phone on the reception rang. At the end I waited at the reception for 25 minutes with my 1 years old before someone was available to deal with couple of issues.
The staff were extremely rude and talking down to us, and made us felt very small for no reason at all. The attitude from all of the staff were, it is what it is and this is the service give, stay or leave the hotel.
The bar & restaurant staff were also a very disappointment. We were going to order couple of meal deals. They resturant staff did not know thier menu and wrongly adviced us regarding to what is included in the meal deal, even after we challenged her about the discrepancy between what is showing in the menu and what she was saying before we place the order. The staff insisted, so we had to believe her. In resulted of this we had to pay extra £21 on top of what we were going to spend. We spoke to the staff and manager afterward. The staff and nor the manager took responsibility of their mistakes, and we suffered their failure at the end by paying extra £21.
I have never ever had such of disgraceful hotel experience in my entire life. The staff humiliated us, not friendly and not customer focus, not bothered to deal with the problems at their hotel, and talk down on people.

Avoid staying at the cheshunt travel…
Avoid staying at the cheshunt travel lodge at all costs. The noise from the traffic is horrendous and when I asked to change room I got fobbed off with the line “our systems are down for the night”. The customer service is worse than the noise from the traffic and that is going something. All in all my stay here was horrific. Avoid this hovel at all costs

Paid twice for the same night!
Booked a Travelodge in Glasgow for the last day of our West Highland Walk - unfortunately due to industrial action by ScotRail we had to cancel the booking as we were stuck in Fort William and couldn't get to Glasgow. We didn't find out that our train had been cancelled until after 12 noon and were told by Travelodge customer service that we could not have a refund even though we were booking another Travelodge room in Fort William! This meant that we paid for Glasgow and Fort William for the same night - double the money! I contacted customer services on our return home and was told that there was nothing they could do. I appealed the decision and the last two emails I received from Travelodge didn't even have a name attached to them which I think was quite rude. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired and needless to say I will never book with Travelodge again.
Rude manager at Brent Cross Travelodge doesn’t let you extend your checkout
I went down to reception this morning to extend my checkout, there is a sign that states you can extend your checkout till 2pm. I have also done this myself many times, at various different travelodges where you pay £10 extra to checkout. I have also many times been offered complimentary checkout and checked out at 1pm. However when I went to extend my checkout this morning there was no-one at reception but there was a phone number to call. Prior to this we tried to amend our room but it didn’t let us on the website. The woman on the line who’s name I was unable to catch refused to extend the room, kept saying it was too late despite it being before 12. She was being extremely rude and unhelpful and was refusing to allow us to extend to the later checkout. The previous day we also had to wait until 3.30pm until a cleaner came to our room after asking about 5 times, we had been here on a 3 day stay and we definitely needed our room cleaned. The colleague on the phone that I was speaking to about late checkout refused to extend the checkout and then threatened to call the authorities which I found extremely threatening. It would be of no inconvenience to this colleague to extend our room as the cleaners can simply clean our room last if needed, the previous day the cleaner was cleaning all the way till 4pm so this made no sense. It seemed she simply wanted to be difficult, they didn’t even have anyone at reception making it difficult for us and the website wasn’t working allowing us to amend our booking. She was inconsiderate and rude and I have never experienced this at a Travelodge, they have always been able to cater to my needs. Also there is no policy which states that you need to extend your checkout by a certain time as things happen and you may need the room longer. I have paid for an additional night instead but I am extremely disappointed in this service.
London Kings Cross Royal Scot
Stayed at London Kings Cross Royal Scot for one night (fortunately) on 13th July.
DO NOT BOOK - definitely do not book. It’s dirty. Read the reviews of customers on the website and Trip Advisor. It really is so bad it’s beyond belief. I still can’t believe I stayed one night but what else can a solo person do at 11pm in London? Never again!!! Not like Travelodge will miss my custom.
As for letting Travelodge know - I have sent in a complaint. It’s clear they do not answer posts on this site so not much point in notifying them about this one. Judging by some of the posts it appears Travelodge is developing quite a reputation - for all the wrong reasons
